The 2021 Season


 Fairfield Youth Cheerleading!! 

Fairfield Youth Cheer is open to participants between the ages of 5 (must be 5 prior to 8/1) and 13. 

Our program offers the opportunity for every participant to be a part of a team while learning the fundamentals of side line cheers, practicing conditioning, as well as competition stunt, dance and tumbling routines. 

All coaches are certified by YCADA - Youth Cheer and Dance Alliance and must attend the New England Coaches clinic, as well as certified in CPR. 

Our Cheer Season officially starts August 2, 2021. The practice schedule is based on the team your child is placed on.  

We offer two teams within our program. Please find the details of each below:


TINY GIANTS is our cheer team structured for ages 5 thru 7. This team practices one to two days a week to work on sideline cheers as well as practice entry level stunt and dance formations during the month of August and September. During the month of September through November, in additon to our weekly practice, TINY GIANTS CHEER will be cheering on the side lines and performing at half time at one of our Fairfield Youth Football games, once a week on the weekend. Towards the end of the season Uniforms and poms are provided for the use of the season. Game Schedule to be determined at a later date.


This program is offered to participants 8 thru 13 years of age. This team or teams, practice between two to three times a week during the month of August thru December. All teams are required to cheer once a week, on a weekend, at the assigned football game starting in September. In addition, based on the coaches discretion, a competitve team will be offered and will compete at the Southern Connecticut Pop Warner Local and State Competitions which are held during the months of October and November. Based on placement at the State Competition, teams may advance on to the New England Regional Cheer Championship. Any team placing 1st or 2nd at Regionals will advance to compete at Nationals in December located in Disney, Florida. Uniforms and poms are provided for the use of the season. Please note: Practice locations for all teams will be primarily held at Sullivan Field on Old Dam Road.

Once registered, prior to the start of season in August, you will be contacted via email regarding the team, practice dates and coach in which we are able to offer your child .

Teams are determined based on age and can be adjusted based on enrollment and availability of coaching staff. 

Team placement is at the discretion of the Cheer Coordinator and Cheer Director. 

MANDATORY PARENT MEETING: All parents are highly encouraged to attend the parent meeting scheduled for Monday, July 26th at 6:00 pm at Sullivan Field. Important detail of the cheer season will be discussed along with the paperwork required for athletes will be handed out during this meeting.

In addition to payment, all required paperwork must be completed and handed in prior to the start of practice.
